POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Lead

BUSINESS UNIT: Watertown, WI

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform and supervise the daily activities for Parts Warehouse including staff supervision. Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient receiving and shipping of products/components to both national and international customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the timely and proper processing of orders and shipments to customers, distributors, and partner locations by supervising and performing all warehouse functions.
  • Ensure product is received and put away on an as needed basis.
  • Coordinates with customer service and 1st shift personnel to facilitate correct documentation and ensure adherence to customer packaging/shipping needs and regulatory.
  • Reviews and orders warehouse supplies, including safety supplies
  • Work with the Warehouse Manager in developing new processes and procedures to improve overall efficiency in warehouse systems as well as analyzing cost savings opportunities.
  • Participates and helps facilitate safety training and procedures that meet or exceeds company expectations
  • Maintains high inventory accuracy through the use of well documented procedures including a formal cycle counting program
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsible to help interview, hire and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance both positive and negative. Identify employee's skills and develop them by coaching and counseling on a regular basis.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of SAP and proficient use of a computer
  • Ability to operate all forklifts in the warehouse.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
