Position Description:

Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) has an outstanding opportunity for a VP of Organizational Development and Learning.

In this position you’ll provide team leadership and strategic direction in support of overall business objectives and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in areas of succession planning, talent management, internal communications, transformational opportunities, performance management and training and development. 

Key Responsibilities 

Organizational Development: 

  • Responsible for assessment of organizational development needs and design, development, and implementation of related strategies and programs including digital literacy and virtual collaboration tailored to meet the identified needs as well as development and measurement of program goals. 
  • Identify best practices in organizational development and adult learning, leadership development, and cultural enhancement, and other related strategic initiatives through networking with appropriate professional organizations, conferences, and research. 
  • Oversee organizational employee wellbeing and culture enhancement including engagement, diversity and inclusion, and wellness programs. 
  • Oversee the leadership development pipeline programs, mentoring opportunities, and individual development planning process for emerging leaders through executives in support of the Associations’ succession planning. Coordinate with senior leaders to identify participants and appropriate developmental programs. 
  • Serve as an internal resource for Board of Director members including development goal check-ins and research and review of development offerings available to Directors 


    • Responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs to facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of team members. 
    • Identify gaps in and develop learning and development programs that support the Associations’ strategic direction and meet the needs of leaders and employees. 
    • Develop the FCSAmerica strategy for modalities of learning and serve as a resource for leaders and teams; oversees the development, maintenance, and delivery of non-instructor led learning using sound instructional design methodology, best practices and tools.

      Internal Communications: 

      • Oversee the development and implementation of internal communication strategies across multiple communication channels. 

        Minimum Qualifications 

        • 10 years Organizational development/effectiveness and/or learning with at least 5 years of company-wide functional leadership. 
        • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Education, Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, Human Resources 

          Preferred Qualifications 

          • Graduate Degree in in Organizational Development, Education, Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, Human Resources
