We seek candidates displaying a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, including an appreciation of or engagement in high impact practices, and interest in the enduring questions of politics. Responsibilities for the one-semester position is four undergraduate courses (capped at 30 students in each course) for the semester, with two or three preparations. This will entail two classes of an introductory course on American Politics plus a possible combination of: a) two law courses (for example, such as Individual Liberties or Mock Trial), b) two upper-level American Politics courses (such as Political Behavior, Public Opinion, State and Local Politics, or American Public Policy), or c) one law course and one upper-level American Politics course. Aside from holding office hours with students, no committee assignments or service requirements will be associated with the position.Loyola University Maryland is a dynamic, highly selective, Jesuit Catholic university in the liberal arts tradition.
