We are looking for a talented Vehicle Performance Driver, II who will use their skills to set up, conduct, and assist in the analysis of a vehicle test to ensure data is meeting design specifications established by customers and assist engineers in determining the practicality of proposed product design changes and carry out tests for performance, durability, or efficiency.



Main Responsibilities Include:



  • Demonstrated mastery of Vehicle Test Technician II and Performance Driver I responsibilities

  • Analyze final measurements on post-test parts and verify test specifications in order to provide engineering reports that meet customer specifications

  • Customize RevData+ columns using formulas and graphing data

  • Deep Review of vehicle data to explain abnormalities in Test data

  • High-Speed Testing in excess of 100 MPH including GPV Fade, TCAP/High-Speed Fade testing

  • ABS & Limit Handling type of maneuvers

  • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.

  • Adherence to company policies.

  • Adherence to LINK quality process and procedures and identify continuous improvement opportunities implementing through our quality system.

  • Be a role model and advocate of the LINK culture that is consistent and emphasizes the identified mission, vision, and values of the organization.

  • Embody the Ownership Brand Driver (Accountability, Commitment, Can-Do Attitude, Courage, & Humility).

  • Responsible for submitting an accurate labor ticket on a daily basis





Qualifications:



  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.

  • High School diploma or GED with technical curriculum with 8 years relevant work experience in an automotive testing or component testing or performance Test Driver or proven mastery in the above job duties/equivalent related work experience

  • Associate of Science in Engineering Technology or a related field (preferred)

  • Completed coursework in digital electronics, circuit functions and basic electronics (helpful)

  • Work experience in the automotive engineering laboratory, (preferred)

  • Understanding of basic and analog temperate controls (preferred)

  • Understand where different data averaging comes from and reasoning

  • Mastery of temperate controls



 


Other:



  • This position is located in a manufacturing environment and will involve hands-on work with tools and testing equipment. Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
