This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Stockton University is seeking an Admissions Recruiter/Counselor. Under the supervision of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions the Recruiter performs a variety of duties in the identification and recruitment of prospective University students. The Recruiter participates in all aspects of undergraduate admission efforts, including participation in recruiting activities, review of applications for admission, interviewing candidates for admission, and other related duties. The Recruiter represents the University within a designated geographic region and recruits high school seniors within that territory.



Responsibilities:
  • Proactively schedules visits to high schools located within the assigned recruitment territory; delivers comprehensive presentations to high schoolcounselors and students during visitations
  • Ensures Stockton is represented at high schools within assigned territory during college days and college nights; holds group presentations and conveys the value of Stockton education
  • Maintains regular communication with prospective students via email, phone call, and text at appropriate stages of recruitment and enrollment.Meets with prospective students and parents who visit the University campus
  • Provides exemplary frontline customer service while assisting students with enrollment services in multiple functional areas by entering, verifying,and researching student record
  • Support Stockton Universitys diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned Bachelors degree completed by job start date
  • A valid drivers license
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) during peak recruitment season
  • Flexibility to work periodic non-traditional hours (e.g. weekend Open House, nighttime recruitment events, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in education, counseling, or closely related field
  • At least two (2) years of Admissions recruitment experience
  • Strong interest in higher education
  • Familiarity with Admissions CRM (Ellucian Recruit, Slate, etc.)
  • Potential to provide innovative recruitment strategies
