Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.

The intern will be working in Biosimilars Business Unit (BBU) of Amgen Inc. Amgen is a biotechnology pioneer since 1980 and worldwide biologics leader who develops and commercializes both innovative and biosimilar therapeutic biologics. Amgen is committed to unlocking the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative human therapeutics. BBU is responsible for development and commercialization of Amgen's biosimilar products. The intern will work on a research project that has an excellent potential to speed up drug development time for biosimilar pipelines. The intern will closely work with a research team to bring together critical scientific information of various biological products. The scientific information pertaining to various characteristics of each molecule will enable drug development team to prioritize and strategize competitively. This role includes interacting with data analytic scientists, and regulatory scientists to develop tools and software in capturing real-world data. Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion of two years of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing

Enrolled in a full time Bachelor's or Combined Bachelor's/Master's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications

Degree concentration(s) in computer science and/or life science

Current junior standing with graduation date between December 2020 and summer 2021
