Orrick’s Technology Companies Group is seeking a Managing Associate (4-5 years’ corporate transactional experience), with a passion for working with high-growth emerging technology companies, to join our Santa Monica team. Orrick is proud to be one of the only firms to offer a destination practice with deep Silicon Valley and Silicon Beach roots and a broad global platform that scales with our clients as they grow. Over this past year, we helped startups close more than 370 venture capital financings worth over $8.8 billion. Job Requirements:

You should have four to five years of corporate transactional experience representing venture capital-backed private companies and their investors, specifically with respect to corporate governance, capital fundraising and mergers & acquisitions. Public company representation and public offerings a plus. Please note that for this role we are not seeking attorneys whose practice primarily involves negotiating technology transactions (e.g., licensing agreements and commercial intellectual property arrangements).


-  JD from accredited law school

-  Licensure to practice law in the state of California

-  Excellent academic credentials

-  Major law firm experience

-  Excellent interpersonal communication skills, independent discernment, and the ability to collaborate with attorneys in other offices and practice groups.
