This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position.

The Stockton University Biology Program seeks to fill an annually renewable, non-tenure track position (NTTP) for a Teaching Specialist in the area of Anatomy beginning September 2022. Teaching responsibilities will include a human anatomy course taken by biology and health science majors (lecture and laboratory). Other teaching responsibilities may involve contributing to teaching introductory biology and/or physiology (lectures and/or labs), teaching in the University's interdisciplinary general studies curriculum, and/or offering an upper-level course in the candidate's area of expertise. The successful candidate must demonstrate a dedication to excellent teaching and service appropriate for a primarily undergraduate institution. Responsibilities:
  • Teaching load is 32 teaching credits hours per academic year with lectures carrying 4 credit hours and laboratories 2 credit hours
  • Excellence in teaching and service are expected
  • Serve as an advisor to undergraduate students
  • Participate in service to the university, community, and/or profession

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (If applicable):

  • Anatomical training and expertise including dissection lab experience
  • Ability to teach lectures and labs in human anatomy
  • Ability to teach other biology courses (e.g., physiology, introductory biology, upper-level courses) and/or general studies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D.
  • Experience teaching human anatomy in lecture and lab settings is desirable
