The Talent Acquisition Team within our Human Resources department at NYCEDC is a strategic business partner which identifies, attracts, and hires the highest caliber of talent for the organization.

Your Role: You will provide general support in the day-to-day operations of the Talent Acquisition Team and will assist in streamlining and optimizing all aspects of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general assistance with recruiting efforts: posting job openings, sharing job openings to career and job boards, sourcing candidates, scheduling phone screens and interviews, performing reference checks, conducting the background verification process for candidates, vendor payment processing
  • Prepare reports on recruitment and new hire metrics
  • Coordinate interviews and contact applicants, as needed
  • Assist with new hire onboarding (e.g. preparing necessary paperwork)
  • Support NYCEDC's campus recruitment efforts including coordination and attendance of career fairs, maintaining recruiting events calendar, researching new campus partnership opportunities
  • Assist with intern recruitment, with emphasis on summer intern program
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of HR events
  • Support other Human Resources projects and tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • At least one year of experience in an administrative role or previous intern experience in recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for all areas of recruiting, including recruiting administration as well as strategic recruiting
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and ability to communicate with executive level managers
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Must obtain/maintain New York City residency within 180 days of hire
