The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of direct labor associates in the manufacture and assembly of products, components and parts for recreational vehicles. The Production Supervisor, under the direction of the Production Manager, is responsible for the manufacturing process and productivity, personnel training and coaching, and driving continuous improvement. Supervisor works closely with supporting departments – Engineering, Human Resources, Maintenance, Purchasing, Quality, Safety, and Sales to meet overall performance objectives. The Supervisor must also lead the team in safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  •  Daily assignments of hourly production personnel in order to meet schedule commitments and cycle time requirements. Prioritizes and manages the workflow within the department to ensure timely and efficient task completion in accordance with the schedule.
  •  Accountability for ensuring all quality, regulatory, responsible to make sure appropriate actions are taken to meet all requirements, including stopping production if appropriate.
  •  Accountability for ensuring the quality, regulatory and safety of the production operation.
  •  Reviews all work within the department to assure technical accuracy of the work meets requirements, engineering design expectations as documented in engineering prints, bills of material, work instructions and quality documentation. Assures all workmanship standards are met.
  •  Responsible for safety and environmental compliance of the department. Holds departmental employees accountable for following all OSHA and company policies and regulations. Actively participates in safety improvement activities.
  •  Responsible and accountable for maintaining accurate and timely attendance records of employees in the department.
  •  Provides technical expertise for problem resolution. Liaisons with appropriate departments such as Materials, Engineering, Sales Administration, Product Management to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  •  Provides input and recommendation on staffing requirements and selection of departmental personnel.
  • May assist in developing area budget goals for personnel, equipment, supplies, etc...
  •  Leads the implementation of OPX foundational blocks of Identification of Waste, 6S, Standard Work, and Visual Management. Participates in value stream map creation and goal setting for the department product lines.
  •  Actively encourage employees to suggest improvements and facilitate the adoption of their ideas.
  •  Ensure Safety, Quality, On-time Delivery and Cost objectives are visible, understood by department employees, and proactively managed.
  •  Daily interface with Engineering department; changes, proto-types, verification of new material requirements, introduction of new process from engineering to production.
  •  Weekly interface with Purchasing department and vendors; changes, modifications as required.
  •  Ensure that equipment and tooling is well maintained (working closely with Maintenance).
  •  Participate in daily management meetings and walk-throughs.
  •  Elevate issues and improvement suggestions.
  •  Document changes and processes accordingly using company methods and processes.


  •  High school diploma required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  •  Minimum 5 years work related experience, 2 years in Supervisory or Leadership capacity
  •  Practical experience including electrical, mechanical, welding, metal fabrication, etc... Detailed knowledge and experience with manufacturing processes
  •  Thorough understanding and application of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  •  Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with demonstrated team building and conflict resolution ability. Excellent employee and human relations skills.
  •  Must be able to work effectively with a cross-functional leadership team to achieve plant level objectives.
  •  Must be able to prioritize and exercise independent judgment.
  •  Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred.
  •  Excellent computer skills. Ability to learn and use company specific systems. Knowledge, training and experience with regulatory agency requirements.
  •  Microsoft Office skills required.
  •  Ability to work overtime as required including weekends.

Physical Demand:
1. Lift/Push/Pull- Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently constantly to move objects.
2. Climbing- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
3. Stooping- Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
4. Kneeling- Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
5. Crouching/Crawling/Reaching - Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
6. Standing- Particularly for sustained periods of time.
7. Walking- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
8. The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operating machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws and mills where the job is at or within arm’s reach; performing mechanical tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as carpenters, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
9. The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.


The pay for newly hired employees in this position at this location in California is between $64,480 - $90,000.  This is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role.  The base pay offered for the role may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  We are proud to offer competitive benefits in addition to competitive pay.  Our pay for performance philosophy allows top performers to earn more based on their continued success.
