Job Description Summary
Provide administrative, technological, and project support for the activities of the Office of Vice President of Student Affairs. The Office of the Vice President is responsible for ensuring student success by establishing meaningful connections between the work in Student Affairs and the new Bentley Strategic Plan through initiatives like the Student Affairs Experiential Learning Roadmap, a competency-based model for co-curricular student development. This position will be integral in continuing to ensure that the Division of Student Affairs is focused on strategic priorities as well as identifying innovative new approaches to our work that can positively impact students based on trends in higher education.

Essential Duties:
  • Coordinate various strategic projects such as student outcomes tracking, inclusion and diversity initiatives, and professional development opportunities; coordination includes providing administrative support, reevaluating project efficacy based on assessments, using technology to track data, ensuring that current frameworks are evolving based on generational trends, and building relationships to create buy in for divisional adaptation.
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring Student Affairs divisional priorities.
  • Create strategies to support assessment related to Student Affairs programming and services.
  • Perform ongoing research and benchmarking of relevant student development theories and models that inform the work of the Division of Student Affairs.
  • Coordinate Intergroup Dialogue, including training facilitators and recruiting participants.
  • Lead divisional StrengthsQuest initiatives, including ongoing meetings with Strengths Coaches in Student Affairs; responsible for determining the best time of the year for delivery of StrengthsQuest to all new students, creating student learning outcomes for divisional StrengthsQuest initiatives, and making connections to our work with StrengthsQuest and how it is being used in the Curriculum and Career aspects of the framework.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in Academic Affairs and Corporate Relations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's required and master's preferred (in higher education, organizational behavior, or related fields)
  • 1 to 3 years of experience
  • Strong background with student development theory and/or various models and frameworks of organizational behavior
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Experience creating an inclusive environment with diverse staff
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment


Work Environment
  • This role requires some travel for professional development off campus in order to keep current on trends in higher education in terms of the generational transition, leveraging new technology, and exploring different approaches to delivering impactful experiences to students.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, open office environment
