SUMMARY
The Rebate Analyst is responsible for the administration and analysis of Commercial and Medicare Part D payor contracts including scrutinizing, processing, and paying rebates and analyzing quarterly utilization and rebate trends and variances.
This individual will work closely with other departments such as, but not limited to, Market Access, Finance, Accounting, and Legal to ensure rebates are being processed accurately and timely on an ongoing basis.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Departmental Interface: Works cross-functionally with internal colleagues in Market Access, Finance, Accounting and Legal. The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Processes Managed Care rebates, including Commercial, Part D, and Managed Medicaid
- Analyze all data claims and reconcile invoices according to contracting policies and procedures
- Reviews and validates invoice detail against terms of the contract or program guidelines
- Forecast and accrue manual monthly sales data for Financial Rebates/Administrative Fees processing
- Compile, verify, and analyze the accuracy of internal and external sales data for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and check/payment disbursement
- Record, track, and monitor status of Rebates/Administrative Fees submission payments
- Maintain historic product rebate rate history and perform periodic contract profitability analysis
- Ad-Hoc analytical support for Market Access account mangers during RFP rate offerings
- Processes Admin Fees, Billbacks, Direct and Indirect rebates in a timely manner
- Manage communication with external customers in relation to payment and processing of Rebates/Administrative Fees
- Manage and maintain ongoing Activity Log of rebates/Administrative Fees processing
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding Rebates/Administrative Fees payment status
- Ensures timely delivery of rebate processing and provide clear and open communication to team members, customers and account representatives
- Continue to review ways to improve the Rebates/Administrative Fees processes
- Work closely with Market Access National Accounts and Legal to ensure contract obligations are fulfilled
- Quarterbacking the contract signing process in DocuSign and updating Contract Status Log
- Provide support on ad hoc analytics and process improvement projects in Contract Management system
- Perform other functions as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, be flexible in terms of work hours, have strong organizational skills and knowledge and experience with rebates processing systems. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- A minimum of at least 2 years of Rebates processing experience is preferred
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage payment processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Multi-tasker
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of ERP and Contract Management systems
