Overview
The Sr. Process Standards Engineer reports to the Manager of Engineering Process Standards and is responsible for the maintaining and oversight of process controls, standardization, and training for the Engineering and Maintenance Programs team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for process and standards development, including creation, documentation and training
- Interface with engineering teams to identify job specific functions
- Create and maintain Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) document based on job specific functions
- Responsible for creation, documentation, coordination and execution of engineering training, related to job specific functions as detailed in the Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) document
- Oversees the resolution of process disputes and fosters continuous improvement across tech ops by creating standardization to promote efficiency, reduce waste and ensure process holes are closed for regulatory and reliability action
- Mentors and Trains incoming entry level department personnel
- Coordinate with IT, on behalf of engineering, for the implementation of related system changes and upgrades, including TRAX and IDMR systems.
- Manage and maintain GMM updates for engineering or sections that affect the engineering department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in preferred field of Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering or other technical equivalent degree.
- 5 to 7 years of Airline/OEM/MRO experience minimum
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
- Proficiency in technical analysis and working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations or certification requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Applicable experience in process management or continuous improvement preferred
- MS office, Excel and Abode acrobat
