Amgen is seeking a Training & Development Senior Manager to join our team and work from Amgen's beautiful Thousand Oaks, CA campus. To learn more about this position and Amgen:

The Training & Development Senior Manager develops, directs and coordinates Global Commercial Operations training activities (including material) for a variety of commercialized products and associated disease states. This role will be responsible for the development, guidance, and/or execution of product core curriculum, new hire, and follow-up training (as appropriate) for the Global sales teams. In collaboration with your IS and GCO LP Technology counterparts, you will explore and successfully implement the curricula in various training modalities (e.g., mobile devices, AR/VR, audio, video, interactive experiences, and gamification). You'll also work directly with functional leadership (i.e., Marketing, Sales and Sales Training) and other commercial trainers in various regions (US, EU, Intercontinental and JAPAC) to develop training plans that optimize the learner experience (e.g., engagement, personalized learning) and desired performance. You will manage quality of field training programs, as well as conduct needs assessments and on-going field research. You may collaborate with marketing and business unit trainers to assess and customize all training for label updates or significant marketing campaign updates. Additionally, you will maximize efficiencies within GCO LP and help management implement standards and best practices. The Training & Development Senior Manager will work with various training resources and collaborate with sales and marketing customers critical to achieving overall goals.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of sales and/or training & development experience OR

Master's degree and 4 years of sales and/or training & development experience OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of sales and/or training & development experience OR

Associate's degree and 10 years sales and/or training & development experience OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of sales and/or training & development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

6 plus years of experience in one or more of the following areas related to pharma/biotech: Sales, Hospital Systems Account Management, Training and Development

Demonstrated experience in creating training plans, curricula, and material in various modalities, preferably in the life sciences and/or pharma/biotech industry

Sales Leadership or Account Management experience

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects with resources across functional teams, including vendors

Strong analytical, technical and creative problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

Must be an exemplary team player that can work effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization.

Must be able to work independently and with a sense of urgency to meet timelines
