The Sr Engineer System Owner supports drug product distribution and secondary packaging for the Louisville Distribution Center (LDC). You will be part of a dynamic engineering team and will apply engineering skills and experience to ensure the reliability, safety, and quality compliance of operations and utility equipment for the site!

The Sr. Engineer has responsibility for a combination of electrical systems, (including emergency back-up power), refrigeration, cold rooms and freezers, fire protection system, waste systems, packaging equipment, automation, and associated valves and instrumentation.

The senior engineer in systems engineering owns responsibilities in operations and maintenance. This includes developing and/or revising maintenance strategies, plans, and procedures, spare parts, leading all aspects of equipment startup tasks, troubleshooting investigations, supporting safety/compliance investigations, providing technical support to engineering projects, and handling equipment projects on a small scale.

Including:
  • Working closely with multiple disciplines including operations, quality, maintenance crafts, operators, and validation
  • Implementing approved procedures and FDA Code of Federal Regulations
  • Rotational on-call coverage which requires availability to come to the plant within 1 hour of initial call, ready to perform work (during off hours on weekdays and weekends when on call)
  • Ensuring that training records are maintained
  • Other tasks as assigned


Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree and 3 years of directly related experience in the design and operation of industrial manufacturing equipment for the biotech industry.

Or

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of directly related experience in the design and operation of industrial manufacturing equipment for the biotech industry.

Or

Associate's degree and 10 years of directly related experience in the design and operation of industrial manufacturing equipment for the biotech industry.

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of directly related experience in the design and operation of industrial manufacturing equipment for the biotech industry.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate good teamwork, leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changes quickly when required!
  • Broad understanding of equipment used in support of both distribution and packaging operations
  • Experience in a regulated industry/environment
