Description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our world class, results driven team. The Sr. Analyst - Commercial Analytics & Reporting will directly support Revance's upcoming product launches and assist in conducting in-depth analysis and reporting of key commercial related data in an ongoing effort to increase business productivity. The development and tracking of company KPIs will be critical to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision making.

The Commercial Operations team leads the design, planning, and implementation of business growth programs with cross-functional collaboration among Sales, Marketing, and Operations leadership. As a central team, we provide business critical insights to shape the engagement strategy of our salesforce and ensure alignment of goals and execution as we grow the business. Team members are experts in business strategy and operations, both analytical and strategic, yet highly pragmatic and results oriented. The Sr. Analyst - Commercial Analytics & Reporting will translate findings and provide accurate and timely insights to the Sales, Marketing, and Operations departments.

The role requires a self-starter who can perform multifaceted commercial support duties applying expertise in business intelligence, data mining, reporting and analytics. Excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of staff in a fast-paced environment are key to success

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Work closely with multiple departments to design and build processes for capturing, tracking, and reporting on company KPIs and other data relating to commercial and overall company performance
  • Provide standard performance reporting for executive reviews and strategy development by building reports, KPI's and dashboards for commercial and corporate departments.
  • Research and develop statistical learning models for sophisticated data analysis and help identify key growth and optimization opportunities.
  • Conduct analysis and modeling that translates data into actionable insights and supports business development
  • Design, develop and implement new reporting metrics and modify existing metrics in collaboration with business partners
  • Understand database structure and processes, and contribute to the development and execution of effective data mining processes, including dataset preparation; data cleansing/audit; data exploration; modeling; model deployment; and model assessment
  • Ensure one comprehensive and accurate 'source of truth' for all data sets used by the commercial organization
  • Identify limitations or issues in the reporting infrastructure and manage the process to have them rectified
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests from various audiences across the business and discover effective and efficient ways to query data.
  • Manage and provide specialized sales reporting and analysis on key accounts and programs upon request.
  • Utilizes CRM tools effectively to monitor performance of sales representatives, performance of sales process, and effectiveness of lead generation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Education

Minimum Required:
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred with quantitative focus (Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or Accounting) or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

Minimum Required:

3+ years of analytical work experience in marketing and sales, management consulting, or in a business operations and analytics environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Intermediate level skills in one or more Business Intelligence tools (Power BI (preferred), Tableau, QlikView, MicroStrategy), experience using Microsoft Azure with related tools (Data Bricks, Alteryx), and competent SQL skills.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as R, Python, or other similar tools or languages a plus
  • Ability to consistently deliver quality outputs in high impact and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to strategically analyze and synthesize data to develop useful formats and actionable insights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite use, including development of visually appealing infographics. Advanced level capability with PowerPoint and Excel is highly desired.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple projects and ad-hoc requests simultaneously.
