Sr Administrative Assistant - Central Campus

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Dean of Student Development and provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, special events, and travel for the Dean of Student Development, including Student Development departments.
  • Provide support to new employees within the Student Development division during the onboarding experience and maintain continued support for current employees (i.e. create EPAFs, network access, key request, and employee inventory).
  • Prepare, enter, oversee, and maintain Student Development budgets in Banner, including entering and creating budget transactions.
  • Collect, compile, enter, submit, and maintain Student Development monthly reports for all areas within Student Development.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and order as needed, as well as assist with purchasing supplies for special events and special projects for areas within Student Development.
  • Create, submit, maintain, and serve as the point person for departmental work orders, service, IT requests, staff relocations on campus.
  • Compile, create, enter, submit, and maintain Pcard Expense Reports for departmental expenditures.
  • Assist with Commencement Ceremony each Fall and Spring semester.
  • Enter and maintain calendar and appointment scheduling for the Dean.
  • Work closely with counterparts at other campuses to provide consistent services across the college. Serve as back up to the other Student Development administrative assistants.
  • Other duties as assigned


K nowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent language & public relations skills.
  • Accurate with details.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with minimum amount of supervision.
  • Knowledge of SCT Banner requisition, payroll and student modules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to learn new software requirements to support office functions & efficiency and demonstrate proficiency.
  • Positive & professional attitude & dress.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, critical thinking, problem solving skills.
  • Adapt to learning new tasks & skills.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of and adhere to FERPA guidelines governing confidentiality of student material.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.

Required Education:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Education:
  • Associates Degree Business, Office Administration or related field.

Required Experience:
  • Three years office experience supporting a large multi-functioning department.
  • Experience in a customer service related field.
  • Budget management experience.

Preferred Experience:
  • Two years office management experience supporting executive level or upper management personnel. Experience in higher education. Experience with SCT Banner software.


Salary Grade: 14
