Summary

Are you looking for a challenging new opportunity to test and growth your Scheduling skills? We have a Specialist Scheduler position available that will join the Plant Engineering team and responsible for managing the engineering projects & daily operations support for AML 6. This is a highly visible role with the core responsibility of supporting engineering by delivering a detailed schedule of the activities. This role will also offer the opportunity to propose, participate, and lead team improvement initiatives to drive improved productivity and scheduling accuracy.

The department

The AML-6 Facility is the home of elite, multi-product Drug Substance Manufacturing Operations. The facility highlights the combination of groundbreaking manufacturing sciences and process technology, advanced equipment engineering and automation, and a culture of opportunities integrating cross-functional teams from across the site with the goal of achieving being the best mammalian drug substance manufacturing facility in the world.

Specific Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
  • Building and maintaining the AML 6 engineering schedule / plan.
  • Integrating the department client activity schedule.
  • Develop and improve schedule templates.
  • Leading scheduling scenario meetings
  • Leading daily morning meetings with schedule clients to maintain and communicate the schedule.
  • Develop multiple scenarios to assist in driving long range plans and capacity and resources analysis
  • Maintain excellent communication lines with all sources of demand. Use credibility, planning knowledge, and expertise to influence demand process as appropriate.
  • Track and analyze monthly performance metrics and reports to assist our sources with improving the quality of their outputs.
  • Off business hour on-call support.


Basic Qualifications - Education & Experience

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 2 years of Manufacturing, Scheduling and/or Supply Chain experience within the

Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Medical Device industry

OR

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Manufacturing, Scheduling and/or Supply Chain experience within the

Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Medical Device industry

Beyond that, the preferred qualifications are:
  • Educational background in engineering, math, or science and
  • Strong analytical competency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with teams, open to change and new ideas.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to lead meetings, communicate schedule recommendations effectively, and communicate well within team.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capability - able to respond to scheduling changes, gather required data, evaluate options, and communicate analysis recommendations to facilitate decision making.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and error-proofing habits.
  • Knowledge of facility and manufacturing process.
  • Strong Knowledge of scheduling tools and systems (MS Project, PI, Excel) and Programming knowledge (e.g., Visual Basic, C#).
  • Ability to create business processes and standardize work.
  • Excellent communications skills in English and Spanish
  • Skilled in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software's.
  • Have effective written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience with spreadsheets, schedules and the capability to successfully work on complex mathematical models.
  • Ability to take complex information and synthetize for advice and upper management decision making.
  • Experience with planning and/or scheduling systems and orders management processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience preparing and presenting business cases.
  • Experience with oral and group presentations, documents and writing reports preparation.
  • Experience managing projects end-to-end to successful and timely execution.
