Description: Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategy and plans to improve competitive position and achieve business goals as it relates to MRO, raw materials, supplies and services.
The Sourcing Specialist should be recognized internally and externally as an expert on the supply chain for the commodities under their direct responsibility. This position requires an understanding of the technology life cycle, specifications, scopes of work, timing, quantity leverage, market dynamics and drivers, supplier capability and best sourcing practices to develop and implement competitively advantaged sourcing plans.
In addition, this position drives risk mitigation initiatives and creates value in the supply chain by leading site-specific supplier negotiations and managing projects that lead to cost reductions\/avoidances, lead time reductions and improved supplier relationships & agreements

Job Details:
1. Primary liaison between TMC and suppliers for communication including negotiations, RFQ\/P, product requirements, quality issues, timelines, sample requirements, inventory builds, and ongoing material requirements.
2. Identify, evaluate and select suppliers that meet the internal customer needs.
3. Analyze Supply Base, reduce Risk, and optimize the Total Cost.
4. Handles material rejections or other problems on materials purchased.
5. Obtain the lowest possible long-term cost through negotiation, competitive bidding, and market and supplier knowledge. Analyze and evaluate quotations from potential suppliers.
6. Occasionally leads project teams on supplier projects. Monitor, coordinate, and control supplier communication.
7. Meet with suppliers to evaluate services, products, and seek out cost reductions, quality improvements, and new products.
8. Manage notice of changes and lead change control process as needed.
9. Insure information flow between suppliers and internal stakeholders (Supply Chain Planning, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Receiving and Inspection) on an operational level. 10. Partner with Supplier Quality as it relates to Supplier Controls.
11. Assist with supplier qualifications, disqualifications and audits.
12. Maintain and update Approved Supplier List.
13. Maintain procurement records in accordance with prescribed procedures and practice. 14. Work with appropriate groups in the qualification and validation of new\/revised raw materials, components and products.
15. Supplier Relationship Management- Building a process for identifying critical suppliers (Supplier Segmentation), measuring their performance, and driving continuous improvement and collaboration.
16. Ensure requisitions, purchase orders and changes are input into the ERP system and documented in a timely manner in accordance with established procedures and legal requirements.
17. Analyze supplier capacities and capabilities, and initiates and develop team approach to complex sourcing decisions.
18. Understand and support achievement of standard metrics such as: on-time sourcing, cost savings, capacity management, and diversity sourcing.
19. Partner with appropriate stakeholders on sourcing activities to encourage diverse supplier utilization.
20. Reviewing and developing confidentiality agreements, development agreements, and supply agreements.
21. Responsible for monitoring PPV (Purchase Price Variance).
22. Performs other job related duties assigned.
