Reporting to the Chief Talent Officer, the Senior Vice President, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging partners with the Executive Leadership Team and other business leaders to develop and implement diversity, equity and inclusion strategies, programs, policies, and metrics that successfully engage, develop, retain, and attract a diverse workforce, fostering inclusion and a sense of belonging across PLTW. This role acts as a cross-functional advisor and subject matter expert, influencing and guiding the inclusion of an authentic and meaningful DEIB perspective in all external facing products, communications, and initiatives.
This role ensures that all work is approached through a DEIB lens to foster an inclusive, customer centric mindset in the way we serve students, teachers, and each other. The SVP, DEIB develops and implements strategies that embed DEIB into the PLTW culture and ensures that our internal efforts advance our external commitments and the strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Own and lead the vision, design, implementation, and execution of PLTW's diversity, equity inclusion, and belonging strategy
Bring an outside-in perspective to inform and enhance our current level of understanding and commitment
Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to influence, educate and guide on actions relating to PLTW's DEIB strategy
Evaluate existing initiatives, programs and policies and recommend additions and enhancements to promote a more authentically diverse and inclusive culture and workforce
Develop strong, collaborative internal partnerships that will build our DEIB strategy beyond current successes to achieve industry-leading levels by embedding DEIB into our culture, operations, and ways of thinking, influencing leadership to take a refreshed and evolving approach that will make us better
Engage with Talent Experience colleagues, Executive Leaders, Employee Resource Groups (ERG) and Leaders to develop and implement innovative ideas and creative solutions utilizing data driven decision insights
Leverage data and proactive storytelling to inspire action, drive outcomes and reinforce accountability throughout the organization
Partner with cross-functional teams, to inform, engage and build momentum around PLTW's commitment to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social responsibility at all levels within the company
Manage the completion of all DEIB internal and external benchmarking surveys
Provide oversight and structure to all affinity groups
Create and chair PLTW's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategic Council

Knowledge
A bachelor's degree in business, education or a related field of study, advanced degree preferred
Significant experience leading Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts in a large organization with a passion for strategy development, colleague engagement and leadership development
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to connect the DEIB agenda both internally and externally with PLTW's broader community engagement
Executive-level communication skills including oral, written and presentation
Proven track record to influence leaders and develop accountability
Successful experience developing and implementing industry-leading best-practices in relation to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social responsibility
History of building and articulating the business case for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at the executive level, providing ROI measurement and tying outcomes to business results that have positively impacted large organizations
Breadth and depth of experience in leading change within complex and diverse organizations and cultures
Advanced understanding of talent management practices including talent acquisition and diversity sourcing that yield positive results
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be detail-oriented
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to take initiative and work proactively
Ability to work independently, resourcefully seek answers, and remove obstacles
