Job Title:
Senior Production Liaison open to locations in Houston, TX; Livonia, MI; and Pittsburgh, PA.
 
Position Summary:
Develops integrated process improvements for complex problems across multiple functional areas between Media Delivery Team and SM Manufacturing.  Consults and provides on-site production expert guidance, and exercises managerial judgment and decision making.  Establishes and maintains measurements to monitor problems and implement solutions.  Acts as primary point of contact for process improvement between designated departments.
 
Key Duties / Responsibilities: 
Issue Resolution:  Acts as escalation point for designated functional areas, and responds quickly to ensure uninterrupted workflow.  Monitors activities for areas within sphere of influence and identifies common, recurring issues, including root cause analysis.  Develops quantifiable measurement standards to justify analysis as needed.   Partners with Manufacturing, Media Delivery Team and Production Planning peers to identify issues affecting functional areas nation-wide. (20%)  
Process Improvement: Develops process improvements and garners support / buy-in from all stakeholders, including senior Manufacturing and Media Delivery Team leaders and Production Planning peers responsible for other functional areas nationally.  Leads training and implementation into the daily workflow across multiple functional areas. Creates/refines detailed procedures that standardize processes and improvements to reduce errors.  Monitor, report and resolve cross-functional issues to maintain process assurance.  Partners with BTS and appropriate internal areas to drive development or enhancement of system tools to improve processes. (40%) 
Consultation: Provides technical expertise for all areas of the manufacturing and or the distribution process. Acts as subject expert for workflow between MDT and the SM manufacturing and/or distribution areas.    Recommends solutions for complex, custom or highly irregular client requirements. (40%) 
 
Education & Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years related experience and/or training
Working knowledge of industry related issues and understands impact of actions on overall business
Knowledge of business relationships between all relevant functional groups
Direct Mail/Print Manufacturing experience
 
Experience / Skills / Abilities:
Able to manage project activities including assigning work, monitoring results, and implementation for typically larger-scoped projects with impact on multiple functional areas
Able to effectively manage change for impacted areas
Able to orient, train, and maintain workflow
Able to apply interpretive thinking and considerable judgment to develop integrated solutions for complex problems and issues
Able to proactively determine effect of organizational changes
Able to perform independently to align project goals with business objectives
Ability to write analytical reports and correspondence  
Ability to solve practical and conceptual problems and deal with numerous variables in situations where only limited/no standardization exists.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to utilize internal systems, including Oracle, Oracle Transportation Management, Shared Mail Fulfillment, Microsoft Excel software, Microsoft Word, and a knowledge of Internet

Other:
Anticipate, assess, and analyze Client and company situations to create recommendations and implement decided direction
Manage and implement large, complex, cross-functional projects including assigning work and monitoring the results of others
Occasional client contact requiring tact, ability to position, influence and negotiate during complex situations 
Lead by example, displaying professionalism and acting as a role model for others to emulate; provide coaching and performance feedback to internal, cross-functional leaders and associates
Provide investigative, analytic or diagnostic services that affect the Client and other internal functional areas
Audit and direct the work and expectations of Sales, Clients, and internal partners
