PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Senior Manager of Community Partner Relations will provide leadership and management to the North Texas Food Bank's Community Partner Relations team, ensuring focus on growing and building community relationships with customer service, expansion of the partner footprint, and capacity. This position will work collaboratively with other roles on the Community Impact team to help guide growth in areas of need and provide overall support to NTFB strategic initiatives.



Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Social Services, or related field, or an equivalent combination, training, and experience

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must be self-directed, able to efficiently manage time, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Ability to collaboratively work with diverse groups

Ability to manage change and ability to adapt to a changing environment

Strong analytical skills, writing skills, and an effective communicator

Demonstrated ability to build community contacts

Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications; CRM experience a plus


Minimum 3-5 years of management experience with demonstrated goal setting, driving accountability, and coaching skills

Account management experience, customer service training/experience, and knowledge of food banking is a plus


Lead organizational shift to an account management approach with a customer-centric, community-focused mindset.

Provide support to partners, including training, compliance (NTFB and Feeding America), contract management, general advocacy, problem resolution, and client visibility. Inclusive of a wide range of partners, including pantry, larger agencies, and mobile pantry partners.

Manage partner and mobile reporting process, including KPIs for meals, pounds, retail donations, client counts, and satisfaction.

Manages all functions related to NTFB's relationships with redistribution organization operations.

Drive continuous improvement of the team to better support the community to increase effective food distribution and better serve the NTFB service area counties and needs.

Refine Mobile Pantry programming in partnership with the Mobile Pantry Strategy Lead, and support mobile shipping containers, partner investment, and brick and mortar buildouts.

Manage the process for screening and contracting with selected new partners.

Collaborate with Resource Lead to identify areas of training and education need for partner agencies and support the "Partner Council."

Support development of the annual departmental budget, staff evaluation, and work planning

Provide training and support for new and existing employees. Foster partnership and collaboration with other NTFB functions such as Transportation and Operations.

Provide a scorecard-based on-going evaluation of team's performance.

Equitable and timely leadership of performance management and team learning objectives.

Ensure audit ready compliance for the team and agencies NTFB supports.


Direct reports include Community Partner Specialists, Mobile Pantry Coordinators, and Mobile Pantry Specialist.


The person in this position needs to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors, such as competing priorities of reasonable or high significance to the successful function of the unit.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.


Moderate noise (i.e., business office with open floor plan with computers, phone, printers, and light traffic).
