The Scrum Master for the Intelligent Automation Product Team will be based at Amgen Capability Center in Tampa, Florida and will be a direct contributor to the success of the newly formed Intelligent Automation Product team. The Scrum Master will own and manage the development and execution of a high quality, integrated and cross functional project plan and will independently initiate and execute project initiatives that drive the automation and simplification of our platform. The Scrum Master will report to the Intelligent Automation Platform team.

The Intelligent Automation Scrum Master is the responsible partner for the Intelligent Automation Implementation team members and internal business stakeholders to understand the processes that will be automated, develop the detailed project plan for development and execution of automation bots. The Scrum Master serves as a strategic partner to the Product Team in the execution of the implementation and operation phases. The right candidate will be excited for the opportunity to guide, coach, empower a highly agile technical team, drive quality and standards, and bring improvements.

Scrum Master/Project Manager responsibilities include:
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
  • Evaluates and manages third party contracts and resources to improve project performance.
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Proven success in providing on site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Ensures compliance with project quality standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Master's degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • ERP or similar Enterprise scale application implementation experience
  • Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall
  • Have solid business acumen - ability to handle multiple priorities and to build a strong network and relationships up to the executive levels across IT functions and the business.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
  • Excellent presentation skills to leverage opportunities or enable transparent decision making on executive and lower levels and give insight to achievements
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
  • Adept ability with understanding and applying new technologies
  • Experience in DevOps
  • Knowledge of JIRA agile pm tool
  • Knowledge of RPA technologies like Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Workfusion
