This role will be a key member of the corporate financial planning and analysis team, supporting the financial diligence and modeling of business development projects. Responsible for maintaining and improving corporate valuation model, acting as finance representative in diligence team meetings, performing extensive financial analysis, and providing strategic input throughout the entire diligence process.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as finance representative and thought partner to internal cross functional diligence team as well as external resources.
  • Maintain and improve corporate valuation model for business development opportunities.
  • Manage project deliverables accurately, timely, and with clear communication.
  • Perform scenario analysis on variety of possible outcomes.
  • Communicate details and trade offs of opportunities in a well thought out manner to senior finance leadership.
  • Stays abreast of emerging healthcare & pharmaceutical industry trends and assess their potential impact on business strategies.
  • Liaison with external peers to ensure ACADIA maintains best in class analysis of external opportunities, specifically in the context of biotech and clinical stage valuations.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics. MBA preferred. Targeting 5-7 years of experience in rigorous financial modeling, ideally with experience in healthcare, banking, consulting, or business development. An equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered.

  • Excellent financial analysis and research skills and ability to translate analyses into sound strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment, prioritize projects and deliver quality results within tight time constraints.
  • Flexibility to adjust to fluctuations in workload based upon changing priorities
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and MS Office proficiency.

Scope:

Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of functional area objectives and their impact on, and interaction with, other functions within the organization. Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, or company operations.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear in a standard office environment. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
