Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate of Corporate Affairs - Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) to be based at our corporate campus located in Thousand Oaks, California. The Senior Associate will report to the Director of Patient Assistance Programs within Corporate Affairs.

The Senior Associate of Corporate Affairs - PAP will play a key role in supporting Amgen's Global PAP programs through project management, supplier onboarding and invoicing, PSP program adherence, patient assistance program operations, PAP budgeting, executive presentation development, CIA reporting, Board of Director meeting planning, and donation contracting and compliance. The Senior Associate of Corporate Affairs will work closely with the Global PAP Director and broader PAP team, offering the applicant a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced matrix environment with cross functional Amgen teams partnered or aligned to support Amgen's Global PAPs.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Associate of Corporate Affairs - PAP will include:

Project Management-
  • Meeting management and data collection
  • Task management
  • Experience in PM utilities
  • Displays comfort across various platforms and technology
  • Knowledgeable of Amgen's brands and patient experience


Data Analytics and Reporting-
  • Helps migrate data across data and reporting utilities
  • Supports in the development of product demand forecasts for all Amgen brands
  • Performs data analytics to support PAP team in decision making (e.g., scenario building, forecasts, exposure models, product launches, areas for improvement)
  • Develops ofcustom reports and presentation materials for key stakeholders (e.g., ASNF BOD, USVA Marketing, PAP Governance Committee)
  • Independently performs benchmarking, research and analysis


Finance and Budgeting-
  • Assists in financial reporting and analysis (e.g. PAP Operations Reviews, Governance Committee financial scenario development)
  • Supports budgeting process for PAP programs including developing annual budget in partnership with Amgen Finance, and the ASNF accounting firm
  • Manages supplier contracts and review invoices for accuracy in billing (e.g. compare to reports)


Program Operations & Supplier Management-
  • Aids inprocess improvement and enhanced protocols
  • Assists in reconciliation activities of adverse events and product complaint reports related to Amgen products
  • Supports vendor management activities
  • Provides Patient / Provider escalation research


Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of operations and/or analytics and/or finance and/or PAP experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of operations and/or analytics and/or finance and/or PAP experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of [Job Code's Discipline and/or Sub-Discipline] experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS degree in business, modeling or analytics
  • 2+ years of patient assistance program and/or access reimbursement experience
  • Proficiency in decision analysis and probabilistic modeling methods
  • Ability to modulate communications based on target audience
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrates high creativity; is largely self-directed, able to work with some supervision, and function effectively on multidisciplinary teams, both as participant and leader
  • Strong executive presence with senior leaders including the ability to communicate effectively on a prepared and ad-hoc basis
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Action and results-oriented individual
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills, self-confidence, decisiveness
  • Advocates strategic positions in the face of uncertainty
  • Comfortable with ambiguous work assignments and experience managing change in a complex, matrix organization
  • Team oriented player with strong work ethic
