The Senior Associate Labeling Operations position is in a central department in the Global Supply Chain organization. The department is responsible for creating artworks for nearly 100 countries in 40 + languages for product launches, variations and regulatory agency submissions. This role involves cross-functional interactions with Regulatory Affairs, Package Engineering, Quality and Marketing.

The Senior Associate Labeling Operations will report to the Labeling Operations Manager within the Global Artwork Center organization. This individual will be responsible for designing high quality right-first-time artwork and performing technical reviews of artworks. The individual will support ongoing projects to optimize the artwork creation process and contribute to the standardization of global artwork designs.

Responsibilities:
  • Design high quality right-first-time artworks per Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform detailed reviews of complex artworks per Standard Operating Procedures
  • Represent the artwork team and contribute to cross-functional projects
  • Provide input to optimize artwork processes and support continuous process and quality improvements
  • Coordinate with external service providers
  • Support the integration of new products into Amgen systems
  • Complete other activities, as assigned by the Labeling Operations Manager


Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Supply Chain, Operations or Packaging/Labeling experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of Supply Chain, Operations or Packaging/Labeling experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Supply Chain, Operations or Packaging/Labeling experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts, Packaging or Life Sciences
  • 2 + years of Packaging /Labeling experience with a focus on production artwork creation
  • 2 + years of relevant work experience in a highly regulated industry / cGMP pharmaceutical industry
  • Self-motivated individual who is receptive to change and demonstrates a willingness to learn
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to uphold a sense of personal and team accountability
  • Proven track record of partnering with other departments to deliver on common objectives
  • Experience with the following software: Excel, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, Word and Adobe Acrobat
