The Departmentof Oncology and Inflammation Research isseeking a highly motivated Scientist to investigate mechanisms of immune mediated pathogenesis in cancer, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, and to discover and develop innovative therapies to treat these diseases.

In this role you will independently lead a laboratory group as well as project teams to discover and validate new therapeutic targets. You will also collaborate with other research scientists at multiple Amgen sites, including teams in other functional areas such as Therapeutic Discovery, Medical Sciences and Computational Biology.

Position Responsibilities

Perform cutting-edge research that integrates human genetics, immunology and oncology

Developnovel therapies by using various innovative technologies and approaches

Publish experimental findings in top-tier Journals and present novel findings atnational and internationalconferences

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 4years of scientific experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6years of scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications

PhD or MD, with postdoctoral training and research experience in the fields of immunology, oncology, cancer immunotherapy, molecular biologyor human genetics

Demonstrated track record of independent critical thinking, creativity and scientific research achievement in the areas of immunology or immuno-oncology as demonstrated by high impact publications and/or significant contributions to therapeutic programs

Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: 1. Multi-color flow cytometry, 2. complex cell-based functional assays, 3. 3D organoid cultures, 4. genetic manipulation of cell lines and/or primary cells, 5. cell signaling/biochemistry,6. n vivo mouse models of disease and bioinformatics

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate and troubleshoot to solve problems
