Primary Responsibilities: CTC is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to support our DoD clients in the areas of safety and occupational health. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of DoD safety programs, and proven experience in developing policy, overseeing program development and working with management tools and databases. The successful candidate must possess a proven ability to work with and understand technical concepts, while also being able to communicate them to a broad audience. The ideal candidate will need to be self-motivated and with strong research and writing skills. Some travel may be required.  The selected candidate will:


  • Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings and or forums and coordinating, consolidating, developing and delivering and or presenting associated meeting materials (e.g. slides, after action reports, minutes).
  • Perform program analysis, support the planning, development, and sustainment of operational and occupational safety and health programs, and collaborate across the enterprise and with other OSHA, NIOSH, GAO, DOD, etc. agencies in support of mission requirements.
  • Follow new regulatory and policy development on operational and occupational safety and health programs and collaborate with all stakeholders on developing and articulating appropriate positions and actions. Collaborate and coordinate with other organizations and to develop guidance for the field and oversee implementation.

Basic Qualifications:  

  • MA/MS in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or related field  
  • At least 10 years of proven experience and knowledge of operational and occupational safety and health issues, policies, and programs
  • Commitment to staying abreast of all current and future operational and occupational safety and health regulations and experienced at interpretation and implementation for the DoD
  • Willingness and ability to set priorities and deliver under tight deadlines in a heavy workload setting  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • Ability to work in teams, and establish and maintain cross-functional and working relationships  
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint  
  • Capability to independently initiate and manage tasks, with a high degree of detail and process orientation

Preferred Qualifications: 


  • Knowledge of Air Force structure and operations  
  • Operational and occupational safety and health policy/regulation development, implementation, and/or oversight at a federal level, preferably within the Department of Defense or the Defense Health Agency
  • Demonstrated understanding of managing and providing oversight for evaluating operational and occupational safety and health policy analysis and decision documents.
  • Ability to analyze data inputs and for developing, coordinating, maintaining and publishing operational and occupational safety and health evaluations
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting and implementing expert training.

Clearance:  U.S. citizenship required. The candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate US Government clearance and Common Access Card (CAC) for this position. Preferred Active Secret Clearance.
