Provide electrical engineering design support to several ongoing research projects in medical device development. Work independently on medical device design projects and support student and post-doctoral research and development projects. Maximize productivity of the laboratory through efficient and organized management and administration of day-to-day lab activities.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

• Designs hardware and software systems for medical devices and imaging systems being developed
• Conducts testing of medical devices and analyzes data in order to evaluate system design and determine appropriate strategies for improving and optimizing hardware/software
• Supports students and other research collaborators with mechanical/electrical system design, testing, debugging, and optimization
• Provides support with collecting clinical data from human studies and animal models
• Oversees general laboratory operations and manages all activities related to proper use, availability, and performance of the laboratory, equipment, and supplies
• Manages ordering for the research team
• Effectively communicates and personally supports the College's values to foster inclusiveness and diversity
