Skills & Knowledge
- Highly competent in several laboratory methods, procedures, and techniques as well as the equipment and instruments. Experience with histological and imaging procedures.
- Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking and sound judgement.
- Ability to manage laboratory inventory and records.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Editorial skills, and record of publications, for preparation of reports.
- Willingness to work with/be exposed to hazardous materials such as radioactive materials, infectious materials, and/or hazardous chemicals.
- Knowledge of computers and software applications.
- Knowledge of standard computer software packages for data analysis and presentation, and on-line literature search engines, skilled hands, and good judgment.
- Strong commitment to a diverse working environment and to serving the needs of a large and diverse community.
Minimum Experience
- One year of relevant laboratory/research experience.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's degree with a major in one of the biological sciences or the equivalent.
