Regional Program Development Manager

The National Inventors Hall of Fame is seeking a Regional Program Development Manager (RPDM) who will be instrumental in helping to drive demand and generate growth of the National Inventors Hall of Fames (NIHF) education/enrichment marketplace. This individual will have direct responsibility for increasing camper demand and camp sites by strategically promoting and marketing the program to school districts, educators, administrators and parents.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive and increase sales of educational and professional development programs in assigned districts; identifies opportunities for expansion within the educational marketplace, building partnerships at the regional and state level

  • Communicate NIHFs mission and value to a broad audience, deliver messaging that connects with our target audience of parents, students, educators, and school administrators 

  • Work collaboratively with VP and/or Director of New Business on gathering research and intelligence for key territories and developing a strategic plan to increase business; ensuring that sales tactics are aligned and effective

  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs of prospective districts, while considering the political and market environments that may impact schools and districts within assigned territories 

  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding and knowledge of National Inventors Hall of Fame programming

  • Facilitate communication and solution strategies to VP of New Business before, during, and after opportunities at the state or district level

  • Expand the reach and impact of NIHF programs while supporting existing Camp Invention customer base

  • Initiate and follow-up on leads via phone, email and in-person visits, with key-decision makers

  • Assist in marketing efforts; attend conferences to promote program

  • Meet and exceed sales targets, while managing a regional budget

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to strategically sell an experience and identify long-term sales strategies within the education marketplace

  • Knowledge of the education market and or local educational communities

  • Superior interpersonal and business communication skills that are customer centric

  • Ability to see the big picture while managing day-to-day logistics

  • Able to adapt in a dynamic work environment

  • Possess integrity, enthusiasm, and creativity in approaching sales strategies


Credentials and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree, required

  • 3-5 years educational sales experience with a proven track record of success or equivalent experience in K-12 environment such as an Educator, Administrator, Superintendent, Principal, or similar role

  • Geographic territory sales experience

  • Previous experience in an educator and/or educational administrator role, preferred

  • Current educational and/or district contacts

  • Prior experience with Salesforce, preferred
