Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for managing incoming e-mail reference questions including responding directly or forwarding to other staff members for response. -30%
  • Manages and coordinates the day-to-day administrative operations of Rauner Special Collections Library. -25%
  • Provides in-depth reference service in the Special Collections reading room on a regular basis to a diverse community of users, with a primary focus on the research and instructional needs of the Dartmouth community. -10%
  • Supervises student assistants responsible for copy services. -10%
  • Oversees fiscal payroll support for Special Collections including preparation of routine correspondence and processing of bi-weekly staff and student time sheets and maintenance of billing records for materials reproduced by patrons. -10%
  • Assists users in the use of rare book, manuscript, and archival materials in the Special Collections Reading Room. -5%
  • Routinely interprets current policies and procedures and independently handles a variety of questions and administrative problems, some of which are confidential or sensitive in nature. -5%
  • Maintains and compiles statistics of use of collections and suggests changes in services based on analysis of statistics. -5%
