Development Supply Chain (DSC) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of products, process knowledge and technology solutions to enable Amgen's accelerated product commercialization. The DSC business spans from demand and supply planning, sourcing, manufacturing to distribution of products to support clinical trials globally. As an integral part of Process Development organization, DSC provides an innovation ecosystem to advance differentiating multi-modality capabilities and gain insight in development and regulated environment in support of product and process development. Using our tech transfer and manufacturing capabilities, DSC serves as a launch site to enable speed to market for Amgen's innovative products and biosimilars. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will manage high priority projects for the organization.

Responsibilities include:
  • Plan and implement projects
  • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define tasks and required resources
  • Collect and lead project teams
  • Build project schedules, and project timelines
  • Track deliverables
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Present to partners reports on progress as well as problems and solutions to partners
  • Implement and balance change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Evaluate, monitor, and assess project results post implementation


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master's degree in engineering, business management or life science and 2 years of experience in Operations/life science industry

Or

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management or life science and 4 years of experience in Operations/life science industry

Or

Associate's degree & 10 years of experience in Operations/life science industry

Or

High school diploma / GED & 12 years of experience in Operations/life science industry

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or MS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or other engineering disciplines with 5 years of experience in Operations/life science
  • Leader with a demonstrated ability to develop and work in a high-performing environment
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across various parts of the organization
  • Adept in breaking down complex issues into concise analytical packages and executive messages to enable timely decision making
  • Demonstration of strong analytical skills, good business insight, high-level critical thinking and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation as well as interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed team, works well in an ambiguous, ever changing environment
  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain, drug development, and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to balance a high-volume of projects simultaneously while consistently delivering quality end-product
  • Strong interest in learning new things, ability to take on tasks with limited information and/or guidance
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, priorities and tasks with minimal direction
  • Strong working knowledge of Smartsheets, MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
