Eastern Washington University seeks a full-time project position for a Program Coordinator to support our Department of Education and its Self-Support Programs.

The Self-Support programs include but are not limited to Master's in Teaching (MIT), Career and Technical Education, and Online Accelerated programs.

This position is responsible for coordinating Self-Support program services and resources; acting as a program liaison and providing consultation to program participants and outside entities regarding functions of the programs; interpreting, reviewing and applying Self-Support program specific policies, procedures and regulations; assessing program needs; and developing courses of action to carry out program activities. Program coordination also requires performance of tasks and application of knowledge unique to the Education Department Self-Support programs.

This position reports to the Department Chair and will work closely with individual members of the leadership team including, but not limited to, Education Department Self-Support Program Directors, and other designated parties as needed.

This individual must be able to self-determine and undertake work requirements; plan, organize, achieve deadlines; exercise independent reasoning and decision making; analyze problems; use discretion and keep confidentiality.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, development, communication, and implementation of the Education Department Self-Support program functions, components, and processes. He/she will assist the Self-Support program directors and other designated parties as assigned with a focus on meeting specific specialized program needs involving fingerprinting, background checks, MOUs with partner schools, documenting internship hours, and other needs of the Self-Support programs.

Conditions of Employment

This is a classified project position funded through June 30, 2020. Position may be extended beyond that date depending on continuing need and availability of funding.

This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value; as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.
