Position Purpose

Under the supervision of the Program Manager for the COBRE Institute for Biomolecular Targeting (bioMT), the Dartmouth Cystic Fibrosis Research Center (DartCF), and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Research Development Program (CFF RDP), the Program Associate will provide day to day grant and financial administration and programmatic support to the leadership and members of each complex program project grant.

Program Support
• Monitors and tracks program progress across the COBRE Institute for Biomolecular Targeting (bioMT), DartCF Research Center (P30 NIDDK ), and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Research Development Program.
• Answers and triages issues and questions associated with administration of research activities including, regulatory, compliance, and sponsor requirements
• Assists with scheduling and planning symposia, annual program retreats, and other events. Coordinate visits of invited speakers. Includes annual Life Sciences Symposium (200+ attendees) and annual CF Retreat (100+ attendees).
• Identifies, researches, and consults with faculty and administrative staff to ensure costs are properly allocated and that all grant guidelines and requirements are met.
• Performs support functions for the investigators including, but not limited to, developing presentations, conducting literature reviews, and taking minutes.
• Organizes meetings of bioMT, DartCF, CFF RDP leadership, project and core leaders, mentors; coordinating weekly bioMT and DartCF seminars. Arranges for visits from outside speakers. Assists with coordinating training sessions for the bioMT Cores.
• Assists with coordinating annual External Advisory Committee and Internal Advisory Committee meetings.
• Arranges logistics of travel to regional and national IDeA meetings for bioMT members.

Research and Evaluation
• Assists Program Manager with complex data tables for annual progress reports, grant renewals, Core Director meetings, and EAC meetings , ensuring accuracy and proficiency.
• Assists with data collection, surveys, reports, and publications, coordination of Pilot Project Proposals. Creates application in Community Force, disseminates RFA , compiles proposals for External Advisory Committee review and approval.
• Plans, coordinates, and oversees other projects related to bioMT, DartCF, and CFF RDP programs.

Communication and Engagement
• Interacts regularly with a wide range of internal and external constituents and staff members and conveys information on behalf of bioMT, DartCF, and CFF RDP .
• Maintains and updates bioMT, DartCF, CFF RDP websites.
• Disseminates information via email, social media, and other Dartmouth/Geisel/Dartmouth-Hitchcock communication outlets (e.g., VOX Daily) about upcoming programs, seminars, trainings, etc.
• Regularly handles confidential or sensitive information, exercises discretion concerning its disposition.
• Interprets, applies and explains office, department, and College policies and procedures.
• Helps acclimate new faculty and staff with bioMT, DartCF, and CFF RDP project content, and the research environment.
• Arranges logistics of travel to regional and national IDeA meetings for bioMT members.
• Effectively communicates and supports the College's values to foster inclusiveness and diversity.

Performs other duties as assigned.
