REPORTS TO: | PRODUCTION MANAGER AND SUPERVISORS |
FLSA STATUS: | NON-EXEMPT |
OVERVIEW: The Floater / Scribe position will be responsible for basic clerical duties as well as basic assembly functions to ensure that the daily production schedule is met
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Print and release work orders for the production department.
- Print labels for work orders created for production.
- Update build plans based on the work orders released.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- During down time on the scribe will perform assembly functions as needed
- Additional responsibilities as requested or required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
COMPETENCIES:
- Is consistently at work and on time.
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction
- Understanding of inventory control
- Computer competencies in ERP, Excel, and others as needed.
- Observes safety and security procedures
- Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions
- Uses equipment and materials properly
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, production orders, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 to 3 years of warehouse / ERP experience in an industrial environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. cutting / sewing
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS:
- List of licenses, certificates or registration that are required to perform the essential duties of this job.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Understanding of ERP, Excel and others as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The employee may frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels.
TRAVEL:
- None is required for this position.
