General Overview

The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, Rotarys charitable arm, raises more than $300 million in contributions and commitments every year from its membership base and partners.  The Philanthropy group is increasingly becoming more data-driven and analytical.  Enhancements to its online giving platform is one example of enhanced donor acquisition, retention and upgrading efforts.  Continued refinement of a major and planned giving moves-management system supported by Raisers Edge is part of a multi-year effort to increase Rotarys endowment to over $2 billion.  Further segmentation and personalization of contact with donors depends heavily on employing and improving technological solutions which cut across Philanthropy, Communications, Finance and Membership Services. 


The Product Manager will have a deep knowledge of organizational mission, goals, strategy, and objectives for Rotary International and must be a strong leader who can define and communicate the product vision clearly across audiences.


As a Product Manager, you will play an important role planning and executing the product strategy and roadmap to meet Philanthropys strategic objectives.


This is both a strategic and hands-on role focused upon optimizing the value stream from your product portfolio while looking for opportunities to continually improve all aspects of the portfolio to meet evolving market needs.


You will work closely with product owners and the development team to steer the product through the entire product lifecycle, including refining the product vision, articulating or adjusting the product strategy, gathering market and business requirements and implementing the product roadmap. Your efforts must be aligned with the companys overarching business strategy and goals.

  • Support the development of detailed business case, product strategy, and tactical roadmaps that align with and support the attainment of company objectives.

  • Develops and implements a roadmap for products within the Philanthropyportfolio based on a deep understanding of business initiatives and their requirements.

  • Creates clearly defined, actionable high-level product requirements at the epic level.

  • Communicates product vision to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provides direction on multiple products simultaneously and prioritizes effectively in a deadline-driven atmosphere.

  • Ensures that cross-product dependencies are delivered in a timely manner.

  • Integrates data analytics, product metrics, user experience research, market analysis, and organization goals to drive prioritization of product initiatives.

  • Provides advice, clarification and approval of final scope and prioritization of any work related to the product portfolio.

  • Collaborates with business unit leader on approval of prioritization changes.

  • Reviews deliverables and has the authority to accept, reject or modify.

  • Monitors and reports on product success metrics.

  • Act as the evangelist for your product or product portfolio.

  • Fosters a positive and productive team environment.


Prior Experience

  • 5-7 years of professional experience that includes product management of software products and/or services.

  • Experience with product lifecycle management.

  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment.

  • Experience managing people (direct or indirect).



Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
