As Discovery Inc’s portfolio continues to grow – around the world and across platforms – the Global Technology & Operations team is building media technology and IT systems that meet the world class standard for which Discovery is known. GT&O builds, implements and maintains the business systems and technology that are critical for delivering Discovery’s products, while articulating the long-term technology strategy that will enable Discovery’s growing pay-TV, digital terrestrial, free-to-air and online services to reach more audiences on more platforms.

From Amsterdam to Singapore and from satellite and broadcast operations to SAP, we are driving Discovery forward on the leading edge of technology.

The Role
We are looking for dynamic members for our new Enterprise Products and Services team. You must be motivated, curious and a team player. You will share the ownership of the platform and support the day-to-day running of the Discovery's growing Atlassian environment. Support global end-users with project setup and configuration, user access, roles, workflows, security & plug-ins. Assist with defining guidelines and enforcing standards based on IT and InfoSec policies and procedures. On the flip side you like to tinker with JavaScript to build bots, web-hooks and applications that integrate with Slack and other platforms. Only Champions need apply.



Responsibilities

1. Develop dashboards, and advanced filters in JIRA to provide end-users and business leadership with metrics and status reports

2. Perform other duties as assigned



Qualifications

* 2-4 years of Jira/ Confluence administration in a medium to large organization (Cloud preferred)
* 1-2 years of experience extending JIRA functionality using REST API (for e.g. build custom add-ons, develop integrations, or scripting interactions)
* Basic understanding of agile project methodology including Kanban & Scrum
* Ability to create complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, security schemes, screen schemes, JIRA vocabulary, permission and notification schemes
* Fluency in Confluence including security, spaces, basic design, integration with JIRA
* Experience building, managing and enforcing standards
* Experience in working for an IT support organization

* Good grasp on computer, network and ITSec fundamentals and best practices
* Be a team-player
* Responsible and get-the-job-done attitude
* Strong communication skills
* Experience working with internal and external teams and partners to deliver services
* Strong documentation and presentation skills
* Eager to learn and enjoy challenges
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent degree/work experience preferred

* Must have the legal right to workin the United States
