Amgen's Commercial Attribute Sciences (AS) group at our Thousand Oaks site is seeking for a Senior Associate. This individual will be a part of a team at the interface with Commercial Quality and Manufacturing, liaising with the global Attribute Sciences network to ensure that site needs are addressed. The Senior Associate will also collaborate with representatives from key functions within Process Development.

Responsibilities :
  • Execute routine and characterization testing using multiple analytical methods and technologies to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and commercial programs, including process improvements, comparability, small-scale models
  • Support method transfer lead for method transfers, qualifications, improvements, trending and remediations
  • Support Site AS Point of Contact for method specific issues in commercial manufacturing and Quality Control (QC) investigations
  • Interpret results, author and review technical reports and assessments
  • Interact and collaborate with multiple functional areas in matrix environment, both at site and network levels


Basic Qualifications

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Scientific or Operations experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of scientific experience providing and driving analytical deliverables for biopharmaceutical processes and product development
  • Solid background in analytical methods/technologies used in biologics for both routine and characterization testing such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), Enzyme-Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA) and/or other techniques
  • Experience in method development, qualifications/ transfers, and data analysis and trending
  • Experience in applying troubleshooting and investigation methodologies for problem solving
  • Familiarity with biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes
  • Good technical writing and verbal communication skills
