Overview

We are looking for a team player to be responsible for providing a high level of maintenance and support to the Practice Facility, its grounds, and the Basketball Operations staff respectively. The person in this role will interact and provide service to a diverse group of important employees, executives, and contracted partners on a daily basis. The ideal candidate for this position must posess the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Independent judgment is required to prioritize and balance a diverse workload in an effective manner where quality of service is the focus. This positions demands flexability to be effective as team commitments, and facility operations dictate a constantly changing schedule.

The ideal candidate will carry a multitude of qualifications, including but not limited to: general building maintenance, experience with painting, wall repair, basic electrical knowledge, good house keeping practices, occasional pest removal, inventory practices, posess a high level of personal order, and the highest level of customer service and personability. You must have the aptitude to learn and become proficient on the operation and functionality of security equipment and devices. As a facility team member you will be required to monitor and control the fire alarm systems, safety devices, and respond accordingly to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  1. Complete daily checks of critical equipment for status and operation. Complete and document assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner via a computer maintenance management system & maintenance board.
  2. Work closely with, and provide instruction to contracted workers daily to ensure the highest level of work quality is adheared to. Report all issues with workmanship or functionality to the Practice Facility Operations Associate Manager.
  3. Communicate professionally, and effectively with practice facility staff, visitors, and contracted partners. Communicate all request & recommenations made by staff to the Facility Supervisior in a timely manner.
  4. Adhere to all standard operating procedures and written instructions.
  5. Demonstrate strong followership skills, become proficient in key responsibilities, and demonstrate team work.
  6. Exercise analytical thinking and problem solving skills in regard to critical systems and processes, and how they impact team operations.
  7. Monitor stock levels and re-stock facility daily as required.
  8. Monitor, and respond to alarms/emergency situations inside and outside the Practice Facility and grounds.
  9. Control and distribution of shipments and mail to and from facility.


Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in maintenance and upkeep of buildings/systems, and or equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and see to completion all jobs assigned efficientlyeffeciently.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to safeguard sensitive information and situations appropriately.
  • Able to work independently and make sound judgement.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of self and exercise integrity on a daily basis.
  • The ability to safely work without supervision and meet expectations.
  • General computer skills, and proficiency within the MicroSoft suite.
  • Ability to lift and carry items over 50lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ability to remain alert, awake, stand, walk or sit for an 8-12 hour shift.
  • 2-4 Years basic MEP experience, preferred.
  • 2-4 Years basic HVAC experience preferred.
  • Experience working with security devices, preferred.
  • Fire monitoring system knowledge, and operation experience preferred.
