Job Description:

The Outreach Coordinator, Fulbright Program supports assigned teams as well as departmental and cross departmental projects. The coordinator participates, as directed, on deliverables related to outreach and recruitment activities, alumni engagement, communications, and application and selection. They serve as a first point of contact for potential grantees as well as for partner institutions and organizations.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides administrative support with departmental finances such as expenses, pcard, invoices and POs.
  • Collects and updates analytics, creates, edits and posts content to websites and assists with ongoing outreach campaigns.
  • Handles logistics for multiple meetings and events including but not limited to: conferences, webinars and trainings for internal and external audiences, campus visits, and the application review and selection process.
  • Responds to general phone and e-mail inquiries and escalates non-standard issues as needed.
  • Updates IIE Core systems, Shared Databases, and/or Digital Asset Management systems. Performs accurate and timely data entry as well as monthly quality assurance reporting.
  • Reviews and processes applications for technical completeness, eligibility and accuracy; follows up with applicants as needed to complete materials.
  • Prepares resource materials for presentations related to outreach and recruitment, as directed.
  • Researches and establishes contact with new audiences and coordinates increased engagement across the U.S. higher education community and Fulbright Scholar Alumni.


The Institute of International Education ("IIE") has a hybrid work environment that allows team members a combination of in-office work and telework at any of the locations listed above.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Requires an Associate's degree and at least two years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks, well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
