Position Purpose
An opto-electronic engineer is needed for medical imaging system development within the Optics in Medicine research group at the Thayer School of Engineering. The position will focus development of optical detection and imaging systems that function within an MRI environment. The successful candidate will create novel optical detection and associated signal conditioning/processing systems required to generate medical images.

Key Accountabilities
Key accountabilities: Circuit prototyping and design for high-field strength RF environments and analog to digital circuit design and implementation for parallel acquisition; Translational evaluation of methods in a clinical imaging environment is required; and summarizing results for publications in leading peer reviewed journals and presentations at biomedical optics and medical imaging conferences is also a priority.
