Summary: Primary responsibilities include: contacting potential clinical sites; communicating with possible supervisors; initiating maintenance, reporting; monitoring, and renewing clinical contracts. Works directly with MTED Program Coordinator and Department Chair.

Clinical Coordination

  • Contact those MT-BCs as directed by the MTED Program Coordinator in a timely manner (ideally 12-16 weeks in advance of intended start date).
  • Explain the MTED clinical Training model, how it fits with AMTA requirements, responsibilities of supervisors and other parties, etc.
  • Use tact and discretion in internal and external communications to discuss work problems, collaborate on procedures, and obtain or furnish information.
  • Exercise sound judgment and discretion in discussing student needs with potential supervisors and determining fit with SMWC training model.
  • Interpret and adapt practices and procedures as situations arise.
  • Establish affiliation agreements and/or contracts with sites, going through proper channels with the site and with the College.
  • Ensure these documents are passed on to the MTED Program Coordinator in a timely manner.
  • Keep excellent records of all contact with sites, supervisors, students, and MTED Program Coordinator.
  • Develop methods or procedures to resolve recurring or unusual problems.
  • Be present during each MTED residency to meet with students and help with proficiency exams.

Annual, renewable, contract position for 20 hours per week.

MT-BC with prior experience as a Clinical Supervisor preferred</p> <p>2. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel and Word.</p> <p>3. Strong time management and organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work in a multi-tasked,</p> <p>goal-oriented and deadline-driven environment.</p> <p>4.
