General overview


The Membership Growth Specialist is responsible for administering, evaluating, monitoring and promoting web based lead generation programs to support the associations membership retention and recruitment efforts.


 


Knowledge and Skills



  • Non-profit association or sales-funnel experience preferred.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Professional writing, communication, and editing experience required.

  • Project management experiencemust be able to develop a plan, outline key processes, manage multiple priorities, and work under time constraints with autonomy within project parameters.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Must be self-motivated, organized and detail-minded; able to take direction and work independently.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and email broadcast systems required. Working knowledge of association management systems a plus.

  • Solid understanding and ability to navigate social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube, and Instagram. 



 


Responsibilities



  • Builds compelling, data driven member journeys across the membership lifecycle.

  • Executes, manages, and optimizes membership lifecycle programs across different membership products, customer segments and regions.

  • Manages the process for initial screening, response, and tracking of all leads submitted via Rotary Internationals web site.

  • Develops and documents program and system processes and procedures.

  • Monitors, analyzes, and optimizes ongoing membership lead generation campaigns.

  • Measures and reports on lead generation results regularly.

  • Works with Business Intelligence, CRM, and Email Marketing teams to collect and connect data across platforms to drive deeper insights.

  • Works with the membership and marketing teams to create and execute email campaigns to drive key metrics, including tool adoption, lead generation and conversions.

  • In collaboration with the Membership Resources Specialist, develops audience specific program brochures and promotional materials. 



 


Prior Experience



  • 5 7 years work experience in membership, marketing or sales

  • Experience with A/B testing and other testing methodologies

  • Collaboration with cross-functional partners to meet business objectives

  • Built and managed funnel-based membership or customer acquisition campaigns 



 


Education


Bachelors degree required; preferably in a marketing or social sciences research-oriented field.  Fluency in one or more foreign languages or experience living and / or working abroad helpful.


 


Budget Responsibility


Assists in the development of annual program budgets.
