Amgen is looking for expert and hardworking Material Coordinators to join AML5- Supply Chain Shipping/Distribution team. We have one position available aligned to a non-standard work scheduled.

The role:

This is an outstanding opportunity to seek a variety of challenges and responsibilities around our state-of-the-art Supply Chain Warehouse. After the completion of the onboarding and applicable trainings qualifications; you will set about to balance an efficient flow of all materials, prepare efficient shipping schedules and effectively evaluate production schedules and resolve all required-materials and ensure availability.

We will also ask you to receive, store, dispense/weigh, deliver, transfer, reconcile, cycle count, or ship materials per cGMP procedures and regulations, within multiple systems and/or between multiple sites.

You will also use Power Industrial Vehicles (PIV) and in some instances you may operate trucks (flat bed or panel) to move warehouse materials, hazardous materials or general receiving goods following Department of Transportation regulations.

With sight of so much of the material handling process and equipment's, you will also play an integral player in our efforts to streamline our methods and processes and become even more efficient.

Additional responsibilities:

The physical demands described here are necessary to successfully execute the essential functions of this role:
  • Standing, walking or moving around offices, work site or Amgen buildings
  • Climbing, crawling, crouching, or other non-sitting working positions.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects heavy objects with appropriate industrial equipment
  • Visual/mental concentration on specialized equipment and instruments
  • Temperature extremes (i.e.: cold/hot rooms) or wetness, fumes, vibrations, dust.
  • Exposure to noise, odors, dust, etc. of such severity as to require the use of protective equipment and/or strict work guidelines



The department:

The AML-5 Facility is the home of elite, Supply Chain Warehouse. The facility highlights the providing services to manufacturing and Distribution to 60 countries. A culture of opportunities integrating cross-functional teams from across the site with the goal of achieving to server our patients every time in the world.

As part of a non-standard shift, the team focuses on ensure material inventory levels are sufficient an in adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and procedures to meet AML5 Distribution needs.

Basic Qualifications:

Associate Degree and 2 years of manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, warehouse, and or supply chain experience within a GMP regulated environment

or

High School Diploma and 4 years of manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, warehouse, and or supply chain experience within a GMP regulated environment

Preferred qualifications:
  • Robust knowledge and proven successful track execution with distribution process, operating warehouse equipment, e.g. forklift, pallet jack, special purpose cryogenic equipment, potent compound equipment, etc
  • Driver's License Category 9
  • Robust knowledge Federal Regulation DOT/IATA/IMDG
  • Ability to safely operate trucks or vans.
  • Capable to cautiously balance, transport and lead hazardous materials.
  • Intermediate Mathematics and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient performing, assembling, disassembling, operating and understanding complex equipment per procedures.
  • Robust knowledge in computer operations with the ability to operate efficiently and effectively within multiple software applications
  • Ability and willingness to work any shift in support of operations that may include 24/7.
  • Organization skills and talent to perform assignments with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Capacity to carefully and accurately follow complex written procedures, recognize and report malfunctions and make adjustments to equipment.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Proficient to effectively interact with regulatory agencies
  • Written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
