The Marketing Senior Manager will play an integral role supporting Amgen's global efforts related to social media and digital engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to join Amgen at a dynamic time and be part of an important initiative.

The Marketing Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring awareness of, training around, and adherence to Amgen's policies and procedures related to social media and digital engagement, including the newly enhanced digital site registry. This individual will play a critical role ensuring strong cross-functional and global partnership to enable effective and compliant deployment and maintenance of social media and other digital engagement assets. This individual will also create the reporting metrics for this area and be responsible for informing and advising the Compliance Digital Council. The successful candidate will interface with several functions and senior leaders to ensure successful global roll out and execution. This position imparts significant leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners across all regions in which Amgen operates.

Responsibilities include:
  • Having deep understanding of compliance SOPs and audit process/findings to ensure that future process and governance addresses current and future areas of improvement
  • Reviewing, updating and maintaining oversight of the digital site registry (DSR). This includes ensuring that future revisions and improvements are documented and implemented
  • Ensuring that all documents and training related to DSR are up to date, recorded and maintained
  • Oversight to maintain and monitor distribution lists and reviewer status for DSR
  • Creating and evolving DSR training to ensure adherence to compliance SOPs
  • Monitoring compliance to SOPs while also ensuring that potential gaps are identified and addressed in a dynamic and timely fashion
  • Creating and maintaining dashboard of metrics on overall digital and social media asset management process and report out to governance council
  • Identifying and escalating issues to governance council as they arise
  • Maintaining and updating training for implementation of the process across all functions
  • Project management of the governance process-including agenda, meeting cadence, minutes and action items for the Governance Council
  • Ensuring SOP updates across functions that impact digital asset management are fully incorporated and communicated
  • Ensuring cross functional alignment throughout process and helping to standardize common issue resolution

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

Associate's Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred qualifications:
  • 5+ years of social media and corporate communications experience, preferably in the biotech/pharma or health care space for digital promotions
  • Experience in corporate governance and healthcare compliance
  • Experience in digital and social media asset creation and execution
  • Experience effectively partnering with and managing external agencies and vendors
  • Experience communicating with senior leadership
  • Pharmaceutical or biotech experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Collaborative team player with an ability to motivate and influence others
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
