Our mission in US Value & Access is to secure coverage for our brands and to support patient access. In a dynamic healthcare environment, the organization recognizes the increasing importance of Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) and large Employers within the U.S. Healthcare system. As a result, a newly-formed team is focused on developing and executing strategies for the IDN and Employer customer segments. This new position is a unique and highly visible opportunity to help create a path forward for our organization in terms of tapping into the rapidly evolving IDN and Employer segments.

The Marketing Manager plays a critical role supporting the development and execution of the IDN and Employer engagement strategy for the U.S. General Medicine product portfolio. They will lead the development of tools/resources to harness the organized potential of IDN's and/or health systems to improve patient access to Amgen's therapies. They will leverage population health strategies and value-based initiatives to support organizations whose goals are to deliver value through quality improvement, care management, and patient engagement.

Key Activities
  • Develop and execute compelling messages, tools, & resources to effectively communicate the clinical and economic value for select in-line and pipeline assets for IDN and Employer audiences through personal and non-personal channels
  • Construct and roll-out disease level programs to drive diagnosis and adherence in areas of interest to Amgen
  • Work with third-party vendors to facilitate the internal legal, regulatory and medical review of marketing materials via the Materials Approval and Compliance (MAC)
  • Effectively rollout and train the Market Access team and/or Employer team (field account executives) on programs and resources and provide support to field staff to address questions
  • Align and/or lead cross-functional workstreams to support business initiatives
  • Support development of IDN and Employer marketing plans aligned with coverage & pricing and overall brand strategic plans
  • Commission and oversee market research in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to generate deep customer, competitive, and marketplace insights
  • Provide guidance, support, and analyses on targeting strategies, KPIs, and POAs
  • Develop and manage the IDN and Employer segment marketing budget
  • 5-10% travel may be required


Basic Qualifications

• Doctorate degree

OR

• Master's degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Associate's Degree and 8 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

oR

• High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking ability
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry (market access and/or health economics)
  • Solid understanding of US health care system and key stakeholders (with an interest in formulary decision makers carrying out responsibilities for the selection of medications for coverage or reimbursement)
  • Understanding or familiarity with the US Value & Access organization, and how it interfaces with other parts of the business
  • Interest in working with and communicating health care economic information (HCEI)
