The Marketing Manager will play an integral role in continuing the momentum of an incredibly successful launch for Parsabiv; Amgen's innovative IV calcimimetic for patients with secondary HPT. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and highly motivated marketing team.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for development and execution of integrated healthcare professional (HCP) promotions plans to include sales force tools and speaker bureau management and content. The successful candidate will also interface with the training team and sales force to ensure successful roll out of field materials throughout the year, including at sales meetings. This position requires significant leadership and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners, including the MAC team, the sales force, training, the Reimbursement Access & Value (RAV) team, the Commercial Data & Analytics (CD&A) team, and external vendors. The role is also available for remote working program.

Responsibilities include:
  • Design and execute innovative health care professional promotions initiatives in alignment with brand strategic imperatives and behavioral objectives
  • Develop sales force tools and materials for prescribers, dialysis care team, and patient education
  • Develop physician speaker bureau to help drive clinical demand, including speaker recruitment, program content development, and day-to-day bureau management
  • Develop the strategy and content to evolve of the speaker program content that delivers clinical messages in a concise, innovative and impactful manner
  • Lead opinion leader (OL) engagement efforts, including the development of an OL engagement plan
  • Regularly engage with sales leadership and the field to ensure development of high-impact, high-value marketing initiatives that drive growth of Parsabiv
  • Work with CD&A to develop measurement plans and market research for materials and initiatives
  • Lead projects through Amgen's MAC review process to ensure responsible and effective communications
  • Coordinate the work of external vendors to ensure flawless execution of marketing initiatives
  • Effectively manage budgets
  • Domestic travel required (approximately 20%)

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Master's degree and 2 years of marketing and/or sales experience

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of marketing and/or sales experience

Associate's degree and 10 years of marketing and/or sales experience

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of marketing and/or sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with newly launched products in a marketing capacity
  • Experience with nephrology products
  • Experience effectively partnering with and managing external agencies and vendors
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a heavily matrixed, fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and ability to influence across stakeholders to set direction, align work efforts and ensure flawless execution
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and solve problems
  • Experience working closely with field sales organizations to implement marketing programs with measurable business impact
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Collaborative team player with an ability to motivate and influence others
  • Strong communicator with strong organizational skills
