Osteoporosis affects nearly 13 million men and women in the U.S. who are at risk of fracture, but as of 2020 only ~25% of affected individuals are treated despite a growing elderly population. Although osteoporosis has many generic options available, Amgen has emerged as the leader in this therapeutic area with our flagship brand, Prolia, launched in 2010, and our newly-launched asset, EVENITY, launched in 2019. Approaching 10 years in market, Prolia continues to deliver strong double-digit growth year on year and in 2019 treated nearly 1.5 million patients in the US and nearly half of patients whom Amgen serves worldwide across any therapeutic category. Given Amgen's long-run play in this category, this franchise plays a particularly strategic role in delivering short- and long-term growth for Amgen!

The US Bone Franchise brand team at Amgen is looking for a Bone Health Multi-Channel Marketing Manager (MCM) to join a robust team with long-term results for patients in our Thousand Oaks, CA location. The Bone Health MCM Manager will report to the ecosystem digital franchise senior manager and will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing key elements of the health care professional (HCP) digital marketing strategy for Prolia and EVENITY. You will partner heavily with internal and external cross-functional team members and lead HCP focused agencies and media partners.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead development of digital marketing tactics, ensuring creative excellence and integration with overall HCP marketing strategy and existing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with brand teams to ensure alignment to tactical development in a manner that provides the optimal customer experience
  • Approve digital tactics through Amgen's regulatory and compliance process
  • Work with IS/IT, Marketing Operations and other partners to ensure production of digital assets after approvals
  • Develop approach for expansion and utilization of rep delivered emails including training to increase and expand our digital presence and engagement with HCPs.
  • Lead agencies to hold them accountable to the highest standards of performance
  • Handle MCM promotional budget
  • Work with Sr. Manager to ensure performance of programs to agreed upon critical metrics
  • Contribute to the development of media planning efforts and the implementation of the annual brand plan
  • Domestic travel up to 25%.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master's degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associate's Degree and 8 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing and executing a wide range of successful online and offline tactics, including digital, search, and online video
  • Experience in leading agencies to develop and produce engaging creative within digital channels.
  • Strong self-starter; project management and ability to lead others to meet multiple priorities simultaneously in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong communication effectiveness: The ability to effectively engage, connect, and influence others
  • Analytical skills
  • Pharma experience
