The US Migraine Marketing Manager, Media & Advertising will lead, plan, and execute key elements of the Consumer marketing strategy and patient-focused touch-points critical to commercial success of Aimovig, Amgen's preventive migraine treatment. Critical to the role will be developing and evangelizing an in-depth understanding of the migraine consumer, and defining and executing opportunities to continue to disrupt this ambitious space using diverse the marketing mix and patient experience.

You will partner heavily with internal and external cross-functional partners and lead patient focused agencies and media. This role will also be responsible for performance reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of an innovative, disruptive multi-channel consumer communications plan, including strategic partnerships with critical media outlets, influencers and advocacy groups.
  • Lead development of brand media briefs and plans, partnering with the Sr. Manager, Media & Advertising and the Sr. Manager, Digital & Social.
  • Lead measurement and optimization of media plans with key partners, including analytics, the media agency and Sr. Brand Managers. This includes setting important metrics, tracking performance and identifying trends, and recommending shifts between channels and vendors, and changes in targeting.
  • Lead execution of media partnerships, improving return on investment, profit and performance.
  • Lead media agency, holding them to the highest standards of performance.
  • Cross functional leadership to gain alignment in focus and timing with internal partners both strategically and tactically
  • Lead the development of key consumer assets in point of care, ensuring differentiated messaging and creative excellence.
  • Coordinate and focused market research plans to gain additional insights in further driving marketplace success.
  • Lead competitive tracking in partnership with agencies and insights/analytics team, providing insights on media spend and strategy, and potential impact to Amgen plans.
  • Lead key Consumer-related assets through legal/regulatory approvals
  • Implement test and learns to support marketing innovation
  • Multi-channel media plan development


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

Associate's Degree and 8 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong ability in both leading cross-functional teams, and in being a member of a cross-functional team
  • Strong communication: the ability to develop recommendations based on business rationale and influence senior marketing management.
  • Ability to distill complex information from multiple sources into simple and impactful tactical recommendations
